Elementary

"Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it."  Proverbs 22:6

Our elementary curriculum is Christian-based with Bible taught at the beginning of each day.  Special emphasis is placed on reading and math with the A-Beka Reading Program and Saxon Math Programs used throughout the elementary school.  Grades 1-6  participate in the Accelerated Reader Program and have Internet accessible computers in each classroom, as well as in the A.  R. Smithers Library.

Our Stanford Achievement Test Scores reflect that the average elementary student scores between 1.5 and 2.5 grade levels above the national average.

Elementary students participate in Spanish, physical education, library, computer, group music, chapel, and show choirs. Ninety-five percent of our fifth and sixth graders participate in at least one extra-curricular activity.

Educational field trips are scheduled regularly as a part of the total learning process.  Our sixth graders anxiously await their field trip to St. Louis, MO each spring.  The sixth grade trip includes tours of several museums including the students favorite the City Museum.  During this trip the students have an opportunity to see and experience hands on learning while bonding with their peers.
