2009-2010 Scholarship Information
 
*Junior Auxillary of Grenada – MCCOOL SCHOLARSHIP – Deadline is April 1st.  $4000 – Information needed:  a transcript, including your ACT score, one letter of recommendation on citizenship and leaderships qualities from a shool official or a local citizen from your county, a 200 word or less essay, topic: “My Plans for the Future”.  The essay is to be handwritten.  See Miss Mitchell for an application.
 
*2010 Coldwell Banker Scholarship – Deadline is April 30 – See Miss Mitchell for an application.
 
*Grenada County Mississippi Homemaker Volunteers Scholarship - $500.00 – deadline is April 9th.  REQUIREMENTS:  Must be an active 4-H member (at least two years of membership), or a Grenada county Mississippi Homemaker Volunteer member’s child or grandchild.  Applicant must fill out the application form; submit three or more signed letters of recommendation; a transcript of high school grades; and an essay in the student’s own handwriting explaining what the scholarship means to him or her. AXA Achievement Community Scholarship – Download an application for a $2,000 college scholarship at: www.axa-achievement.com.  Deadline to register is February 15, 2010.
 
 
Mississippi Resident Tuition Assistance Grant (MTAG) – www.mississippi.edu
Requirements:  Cumulative 2.5 high school GPA, 15 ACT or 720 SAT, full-time enrollment at an eligible Mississippi institution, Mississippi resident for one year. Deadline to register is September 15, 2010.
 
Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grant (MESG) – www.mississippi.edu
Requirements:  Cumulative 3.5 high school GPA, 29 ACT or 1280 SAT, full-time enrollment at an eligible Mississippi institution, Mississippi resident for one year.
